She started the day by picking out her own outfit.  She finally settled on the all pink one (from Rattle Tattle), and the cute coordinating headband.  I’m so thankful her bangs have grown out from the self-inflicted haircut last May (yes, they were *that* short, so this is what they look like after 4 months of growing them out).    Anyhooooo… we walked to school with our neighbor “M” (in green), and they were so cute together!  When it was time for school to begin, the students entered the school without the parents.  It does help cut down on the long goodbye’s, although it is hard for us parents who want to “help” their kids.  But, I did it, and I gave each of them a hug, and away they went.  Luckily, the school is situated so that the big glass front of the building allowed me to see down the entire hallway to the other end of the school, so I was able to be a fly on the wall, as they say.  They held hands until they reached the 2nd grade classroom, at which time “M” let go and went to class.  My baby girl just stood there, in the middle of the hallway, and looked around, obviously not knowing where to go.  Mommy gear started to kick in, and I was just about ready to intervene, but just then she decided to walk into M’s 2nd grade class, where she remained for several minutes.  Finally, they both emerged, and, holding hands, they walked to the kindergarten classroom (as the 2nd grade teacher watched).  Then, M returned to her class.  It was just so cute, and as hard as it was to watch and not be there to help, I think it was one of those moments that she needed to grow up and realize she can do it without her mom.  Although, maybe, just maybe, it was one of those moments that *I* needed to realize that she is growing up and can get by without mom.  Yes, my baby girl is growing up whether I like it or not.  {sniff sniff}

The new store looks FABULOUS!  They have so many cute clothes, from newborn to pre-teen, for boys and girls!  They have tons of shoes, a great selection of dance wear, and lots of fun accessories!

If you’ve been in the store before, you know I have a display of gallery wrapped canvases by the kid’s play area, and that display is still there in the new store.  But, at Lynn’s request, I’ve added to it with one hundred and twenty four more prints!  That’s right… 124!  Lynn had wanted to add a border along the top of her new slatwall, but after it was constructed and raised high enough to accomodate the plugs near the bottom, we realized there was really only a few inches to work with.  At first I was apprehensive of doing such small prints so high, but in the end, I think Lynn had a great vision.  You really have to see it in person!  Now,  unfortunately, it is not quite “done”.  We plan to add beautiful wording between the groupings to really tie it all together!  Plus, once she remodels the bathroom, I will be adding more prints and canvases to the bathroom and the dressing rooms.  It’s going to be fab, so keep checking back here to see the finished product!  Or, better yet, check it out in person at Rattle Tattle!

Once my daughter and I saw these Laura Ashley shoes, we just had to get them!  They are darling, and match nearly every outfit she has for school!  Plus, you really can’t beat the price… just $30!  For something so cute AND practical, that is a great deal!

These little outfits (below) are perfect for a more traditional look.  These are very classic and timeless.  I can’t even count how many sessions I have done with outfits like these.

Okay, is it just me, or is this the funnest outfit you have ever seen?  I just love the black and pink, with the polka dots and the crown bling! 

We didn’t buy it YET, but my daughter does have a birthday coming up and as the sign says, it is just “tutu cute”.  : )
