New Site In Progress

New & Exciting changes are coming for this website!  Keep checking back!

Okay… as much as I want to seem optimistic, I’m really thinking “when it rains, it pours”.  If you’re wondering WHY I don’t have a website up… here’s a not-so-brief synopsis:

- my two separate flash-based website databases went down (one for portraits, one for weddings), and the web designer blamed the host, and the hosting company blamed the designer.  Frustrated by the finger pointing, and because no one could find a backup for me to re-install (nor could they even find evidence that my site was ever up(???), I decided to go with a new “blogsite” to incorporate the great features of a blog with the convenience of a web gallery, and so I could retain control.  But then…

-my blog needed an upgrade to make it work the way I needed it to, which of course involved more money and a heck of a lot more time.  I finally got the new blog to look the way the old blog looked, but I ended up losing a lot of old information.  Then, I needed a gallery option.  So, I did research online for some plugin options and tried a few, which were not very user friendly.  I finally got almost all the information back up, along with some basic galleries, and then…

-My site got infected by a virus or a worm.  I really don’t know the difference, but I know it wasn’t good.  After looking through tons of files, doing numerous virus searches on my computer and on my internet files, I could not find the pesky problem.  So, I had to uninstall my new blog and re-do all the work.  After numerous tries, I realized that I can’t use any of my backup files because each time I try to use them, the blog gets re-infected.  So, I’m having to start from scratch, AGAIN.  So…

I’m a tad bit frustrated at all of this mess, in case you hadn’t noticed.  Over the past few weeks, I’ve spent countless hours trying to get something back up and running and then fixing it, etc.  I desperately need my site up, as it is my main source of referrals and where my clients refer their friends and so on.  So, just know that I am working hard to get this all working again, and just bear with me through all the “construction” around here.

On top of all that, I missed a flight, locked my keys in my car and I found out my accountant hadn’t filed my sales tax reports for over six months, resulting is penalties and fees!  All that and I haven’t even broken any mirrors lately!  Anyone want to take me out for a margarita???
