 Mini Sessions

Newest Session: “The Whole Enchilada”

You love your kids.  You want to remember every moment.   You want to remember every expression.  You want to share their sweet smiles with the world… through email, your blog, facebook, my space, etc.  Whatever your method… Whatever your reason… I’ve heard you!

So, I’m introducing my new standard session, called “The Whole Enchilada”.  (Hey, we live in the southwest, and who doesn’t like enchiladas?)
Getting your digital negatives from a reputable professional portrait photographer is almost unheard of.   That’s why I’m so excited to offer it to you!  I know if I were shopping for a photographer, *I* would want to be able to actually use and share the beautiful photographs with my friends and family.  So, that is exactly what I have decided to do for you.
The Whole Enchilada includes the portrait session plus all the images from your session, all in full-resolution, with permission to reproduce the images.  So, go forth and share!   Email.  Print.  Scrapbook.  Enjoy!!!

The Whole Enchilada Session includes:
- a one hour session for you, your spouse, and your kids (or just the kids, if you prefer)
- a CD with all of the full-resolution images, allowing you to make prints of any size or any quantity
- a letter of permission allowing you to reproduce the images for your personal use

lighting… which do you prefer?

Most people know that light is important to photography.  But, they might not truly understand why.

When it comes to photography, there’s nothing more important than light.

I think this comparison shows why, and let’s face it, it’s much more fun to see a visual than to read a bunch of technical jargon.  In this example, the image on the left shows a typical shot, with a camera-mounted flash.  This would be similar to the shot that most people would get, regardless of whether you have a point and shoot camera or an SLR.  But, notice the bright reflection on the front of every bottle?  Well, it’s a little distracting, isn’t it?  It doesn’t do anything to enhance the final image.  The camera had enough light to make the image, and the image is fine.  But, it’s nothing special.

But, look at the image on the right.  Just adding a little backlight really changes the final look of the image, doesn’t it?

By the way, can you believe this is a CAKE?  Yes, seriously.  It’s was the groom’s cake at the wedding I shot last night.  Isn’t it awesome?  I wish I had found out who made it, because it was really cool!

newborn twin boys

Aren’t these little guys just adorable?  I love photographing newborns, and twin newborns are twice as nice!  Plus, these little guys were so easy going, the session just flew by!

Sweet Baby Alexa

Baby Alexa is 7 months, and my has she changed since her first newborn session!  I love being able to see little ones grow and change!  It’s amazing!

This is one of my favorites from the session, and it’s just one of those images that is timeless.

Who can turn down this glorious, happy smile!  I love seeing happy babies!!!
